Waiver and Discount
Waiver Policy
Journal of Innovations in Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences (JIPBS) is committed to promoting global knowledge sharing and supporting researchers from all economic backgrounds. To ensure equitable access to publication, the journal offers Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers and discounts under the following guidelines.
1. Full Waiver
A 100% APC waiver may be granted to authors who:
- Are corresponding authors from low-income countries, as classified by the World Bank
- Submit high-quality manuscripts of significant scientific merit aligned with the journal's scope and mission
- Are students or early-career researchers without institutional or grant funding, upon request and with proper justification
2. Partial Discount
A 25%–75% discount may be granted to authors who:
- Are from lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank
- Can demonstrate limited funding support from their institution or research grants
How to Apply
Authors must apply for a waiver or discount at the time of manuscript submission, by sending a formal request to the editorial office at [email protected]. Requests should include the author's affiliation, country of residence, source(s) of research funding, and justification for the waiver or discount.
Decision Process
The editorial board reviews all waiver and discount requests on a case-by-case basis and notifies authors of the decision before the peer review process begins. This sequencing ensures that an author's ability to pay, or their waiver status, has no influence on manuscript evaluation or editorial decisions. Full details on the standard APC amount are available on the journal's Article Processing Charges page.
